McGuinty Government Investments Helping to Attract and Retain Youth in Northern Ontario

SAULT STE. MARIE - A young entrepreneur in Sault Ste. Marie has established a new juice bar catering to a health fitness clientele with a $25,000 grant from the McGuinty government David Orazietti, MPP announced today.

"Our government recognizes the importance of encouraging youth to develop fresh new business ideas in Sault Ste. Marie," said Orazietti. "By investing in our young people we are helping to keep the next generation of business and community leaders in Northern Ontario."

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is providing $25,000 toward the establishment of Juiced Unlimited in Sault Ste. Marie. Located in an existing health and fitness centre, the business will serve healthy beverages and light snacks tailored to fitness patrons.

"Our government is committed to giving our youth opportunities to build the entrepreneurial experience and skills they need to succeed in business," said Michael Gravelle, Minister of Northern Development and Mines. "An investment in young business people is an investment in the future prosperity of Northern Ontario."

These initiatives are part of the government's Northern Prosperity Plan (NPP) for building stronger northern communities. Visit the NPP website at http://www.mndm.gov.on.ca/mndm/npp_e.asp
