Dangerous driving leads to weapons charges

NEWS RELEASE

**************************** Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for dangerous driving, carrying a prohibited weapon, assault with a weapon and administering a noxious thing.

It is alleged that on July 22nd the accused was driving his vehicle on Second Line W. in a dangerous manner.

It is further alleged that on the same date the accused sprayed, a person known to him, with pepper spray.

At the time of the assault the victim was taken to the Sault Area Hospital and treated for his injuries.

Brandon Weston, age 19, of 84 Broadview Dr. is charged with one count of dangerous driving, one count of carrying a prohibited weapon, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of administering a noxious thing.
