NEWS RELEASE
******************* Officers from Investigation Services arrested a 30-year-old male yesterday afternoon and charged him with one count of assault.
It is alleged that on the 28th of January the accused assaulted his 2½-year-old child by slapping on the buttocks and smearing feces on the childs face.
The male will appear in court on March 6.
The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
