Cyclist charged after Trunk Rd crash

On the 8th of May at approximately 12 p.m., City Police responded to collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Trunk Road.

It is alleged that a vehicle that was being operated by a 35-year-old female, was exiting from a business parking lot onto Trunk Road when it struck a cyclist that was travelling westbound on the sidewalk.

The 32-year-old female cyclist was transported to hospital by ambulance for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cyclist was charged with one count of person over the age of 10 years ride bicycle on a sidewalk under the City bylaw.
