SooToday.com isn't quite sure about the advisability of handling just-hatched robins.

A few weeks back I noticed a robin flying in and out of our carport.
After a few days I discovered that they were building a nest on some plastic flowers that I had hanging.
Four eggs finally hatched and my granddaughter was just amazed.
We let her hold one while the mother was searching for food and we quickly put it back so that the mother -wouldn't be the wisest.
Just goes to show you that they will make a nest anywhere as long as you don't disturb them.
