The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's assistance in solving a suspicious house fire.

On the 30th of September at approximately 2:50 a.m. a fire was reported to a house in the 100 block of Albert Street East.

No one was in the house.

A female of about 15 or 16 years of age with long curly hair wearing a dark blue hoody was observed running eastbound in the area.

If you have any information on this suspicious fire or any other crime, call Crime Stoppers.

********************* Crime Stoppers fundraising venture Representatives from a company called MediaScene will be canvassing our community of Sault Ste. Marie between now and sometime before Christmas. MediaScene is a company that helps out Crime Stoppers programs throughout Canada with fundraising. Their representatives will be easily identifiable wearing bright red MediaScene/Crime Stoppers shirts and jackets and displaying photo indentification and licence badges. There are only 300 packages available.

They sell for $25.

The value of the merchanise is over $500.

Representatives will be going door to door throughout the city.
