************************* Firearm thefts and an increase in the prevalence of firearms being used in the commission of crimes in our community and area is a growing concern and a priority for law enforcement officials.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the OPP are cracking down on firearms and we need your assistance.

Police are encountering more incidents involving firearms whether it be used in crime, unsafely stored, prohibited and restricted.

There seems to be a growing and disturbing willingness for people to have them and to use them in a criminal manner.

With your assistance we can make our community safer for everyone.

We want to take the firearm out of the hands of the bad guy and put some cash into the hands of a good guy by offering double the reward amount.

For the next month, Crime Stoppers will pay up to $4,000 for information on the location of illegal firearms or persons possessing illegal firearms.
