************************* Public opinion poll reveals Sault Ste. Marie MPP David Orazietti’s riding seat in jeopardy

Pharmacist issue affects re-election chances

TORONTO - (May 10) - New opinion polls released today identifies Sault Ste. Marie MPP David Orazietti as one of 20 MPPs across Ontario whose riding seat is at risk as we move toward the October provincial election.

Survey results demonstrate that the public has confirmed their trust in pharmacists and their disappointment in their local MPPs for not standing up for front-line community health care.

“Ontarians are sending a clear message to MPPs across the province. These polls reveal that the public are standing behind their local pharmacists and are not going to stand for massive cuts to their front-line health care,” said local pharmacist Sam Desumma. “The public is warning local MPP David Orazietti, as well as all MPPs across Ontario, that it’s time to take a stand and support pharmacy as the hub of community health care across this province.”

Opinion polls for each of the 20 ridings, this one conducted between May 2 and May 4, 2010, are being released into each community today.

Full survey results can be found at this website.
