Craig and Ralph hang out on Morin Street

NEWS RELEASE

************************* Craig Witty, age 35, of 51 Old Garden River Road and Ralph Burby, age 22, of 864 Queen Street East, or both due in bail court today.

It is alleged that early this morning the two accused persons were on Morning Street and attempted to steal a motor vehicle.

Police were called and arrested both males.

At the time of their arrest the accused were [allegedly] in possession of housebreaking tools.

It is further alleged that in attempting to steal the vehicle the accused persons broke a rear window on the vehicle.

At the time of these offences the accused Witty was on a probation order to keep the peace and be good.

Mr. Witty is charged with one count of attempt theft under $5,000, one count of possession of housebreaking tools, one count of mischief under $5,000, one count of trespass by night and one count of breach of probation.

Mr. Burby is charged with one count of attempt theft under $5,000, one count of possession of housebreaking tools, one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of trespass by night.

He will be appearing in court on September 10.
