Councillors start ball rolling on indoor soccer facility

As several dozen uniformed soccer players looked on tonight, Sault Ste. Marie City Council approved a $40,000 grant to kick-start a possible indoor soccer facility at Strathclair Farm.

As several dozen uniformed soccer players looked on tonight, Sault Ste. Marie City Council approved a $40,000 grant to kick-start a possible indoor soccer facility at Strathclair Farm.

The money will be used to conduct a feasibility study and develop a business case for the proposed structure.

Clive Wilkinson, president of the Sault Soccer Association, spoke to City councillors about the need for the facility.
