Costumed characters come out for a celebration of anime and video game culture (14 photos)

The Sault's only annual anime convention was held on Sunday

2016 Mori-Con anime convention was held at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion on Sunday.

There was a Smash Brothers video game tournament, Cosplay Chess, card and board games, kendo demonstrations, carp kite making, vendors, karoake, and more.

About half of the roughly 100 attendees wore costumes of characters from anime, video games, manga, and other forms of culture.

SooToday took a series of posed and semi-posed photos of some of these people.
