THUNDER BAY, ON - On December 1, members of the Ontario Provincial Police organized crime enforcement bureau with the assistance from the OPP Northwest Region, Thunder Bay Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service executed a search warrant on a residence located on Mapleward Road. Police searched the home, property and outbuildings and located 120 grams of cocaine, 50 ecstasy tablets, 454 grams of marijuana and two grams of cannabis resin with a total estimated street value of $22,000. In addition, approximately $1,200,000 dollars was discovered inside a buried container.

The cash and a prohibited weapon were seized by police.

Charged are:

Marcel Breton, age 44 of Thunder Bay

- Three counts - possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. - Possession of a controlled substance. - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

- Unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Joseph Timmermans, age 24 of Thunder Bay

- Three counts - possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

- Possession of a controlled substance. - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

- Unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Both men are being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The investigation is continuing.
