Cops chase 14-year-old on Placid Avenue

************************ Early this morning, City Police were called to Placid Avenue regarding a male going through vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and attempted to arrest him.

The suspect escaped from the officers but was subsequently re-arrested after a foot chase.

As a result, a 14-year-old male has been charged with the following offences: Possession of property obtained by crime, trespass by night, escape custody and possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

It is alleged that the youth had approximately 108 grams of marijuana in his possession at the time of his arrest.

It is further alleged that the accused had in his possession items that were stolen from vehicles on Placid Avenue.

The accused will be appearing in bail court this morning at 10 a.m.

************************ Thefts

- A vehicle parked in the 100 block of London Street was entered yesterday evening. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

Break and enters

- A residence in the 700 block of Wellington Street East was entered. Unknown what was taken at this time.

- An apartment in the 100 block of Dennis Street was entered - electronics were stolen.

- Two homes in the 1100 block of Lake Street were entered yesterday.
