SAULT STE. MARIE REGION CONSERVATION AUTHORITY

****************************** High water levels

Due to the recent heavy rainfall experience in the Sault Ste. Marie area, water levels in local watercourses are rising rapidly.

Since showers, possibly heavy at times, are expected to continue during the next few days, water levels are anticipated to remain high and localized flooding may occur.

The Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservativion Authority extends a warning to area residents and visitors when in the vincinity of local waterways.

All are advised to use extreme caution around creeks and lakes as potentially high water levels and flows can be very dangerous. ******************************
