Sault College is preparing for its fall 2021 intake, anticipating a return to on-campus activity at its Sault, Toronto and Brampton locations.

The post-secondary institution’s planning includes academic programming and student services, a release states.

Any public health measures still recommended by Algoma Public Health (APH) or the Ministry will be followed to ensure the safety of students.

If COVID-19 conditions remain the same or similar, Sault College is prepared to continue to deliver its services in a remote delivery model.

However, the college is optimistic that the rollout of vaccines will allow the school to resume on campus activity, administration currently planning accordingly.

“While we anticipate a return to campus we also understand and appreciate that the pandemic has forever changed the way we will offer services. Our team of faculty, support and administrative staff have adapted extremely well to the current working conditions," said Ron Common, Sault College president in a prepared statement. "Our plan is to bring the best of what we have learned through this experience and get back to the things we miss and cherish as human beings and as an institution. We understand the need for social connection and the shared learning that occurs when we have face to face activities and shared experiences. We have also gained a much better appreciation of some of the advantages of working remotely. Simply put, we will put together the best of both worlds going forward when COVID-19 is finally under control."

The college states students can expect the delivery method of programs will reflect the needs of their field of study. That may include a variety of different options that include in person delivery and on-line studies unique to each program.

Students will receive additional information on delivery models via email or the college’s website as information becomes available.
