************************* Cloverland Electric Co-op announces Sault office relocation

DAFTER, MI - Cloverland Electric Cooperative announced it will relocate its member services and bill payment operations on Portage Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie to a new I-75 Business Spur location effective October 4.

The new office space located inside the building occupied by Lighthouse.Net and AT&T will be staffed by a Cloverland member services representative from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

“This satellite location will serve as more than just another spot to pay your electric bills,” said Member Services Manager DeJay Bumstead. “We will be able to assist with everything from arranging service to answering detailed account questions.”

The move is necessitated by the co-op’s plans to merge its billing and accounting systems in October.

“We need to relocate several employees from the Portage Avenue office to Dafter as we prepare for the integration of these systems,” said Cloverland Electric General Manager Dan Dasho. “By bringing these talented teams of employees together in one location, it will greatly assist both members and employees as we merge this part of our operations. It will help us deliver a higher level of service to our member-owners in the long run.”

Established in 1938, Cloverland Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit utility located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula producing and delivering safe, reliable and affordable electricity to approximately 42,000 homes and businesses in Chippewa, Delta, Mackinac, Luce, and Schoolcraft counties.

The co-op maintains member service centers in Dafter, DeTour, Newberry and Sault Ste. Marie.

In addition to its principal electric business, Cloverland Electric operates Lighthouse.Net, a wholly-owned subsidiary providing broadband service to the Upper Peninsula.
