SooToday.com could have sworn Ema Brown (shown) was squishing her mom's head but mom assured us the signal from Ema meant she wanted to stay just a little bit longer.

Ema confirmed this for us when she bounced excitedly off the train of cars she was riding on and wrapped herself around her mom's leg.

"Can I go again!" she said. "Please mommy, please can we ride some more."

Homeniuk Rides Inc. started up the Ferris Wheel, Zipper, Merry-go-round and other attractions yesterday at 5 p.m. at the old A.B. McLean site on the waterfront.

Those will be running from 12 to 10 p.m. today and Friday and from 12 to 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Over the coming three days, kids of all ages can expect about a billion fun things to do down on the Sault's waterfront with pony rides, arts, crafts, Science North Outreach, games, and entertainment.

Oh, and who can forget the parade.

The 84th Annual Rotary Community Day Parade kicks is due to get moving at 11 a.m. on Queen Street East from Simpson Street to Gore Street.

This year's theme is The Land of Make Believe.

SooToday.com is betting Ema and Ashley and about a thousand other kids will want to stay just a little bit longer at the parade as well as the Homeniuk rides.
