Transit bus involved in single vehicle accident

SAULT STE. MARIE - On Thursday, December 6, 2012 a City of Sault Ste. Marie Transit bus was involved in a single vehicle accident.

The operator suffered from a medical episode resulting in loss of control of the vehicle.

The driver will not resume operation of any motor vehicle until medically permitted to do so.

This accident was unique and isolated.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported by the driver or any of the passengers.

Damage to the bus was minor.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie wishes to assure the community that passenger safety is always a priority.

We shall continue to provide outstanding transit service for the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie.
