************************* On Friday, July 27, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service received a call to a residence on Hugill Street regarding a possible stabbing.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., a female attending a house party on Hugill Street was struck with a brick that was thrown from a field at the rear of Sir James Dunn High School.

Several party guests then went over to Sir James Dunn High School to speak to a group of between 10-20 youths that were at the school.

At this time an argument took place and a 35-year-old male was stabbed twice in the back.

The group of youths then fled the area.

The victim of the assault was taken to Sault Area Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspects in this incident are described as:

1. Male, Native-Canadian, late teens to early 20’s, 5’7” - 5’10’, slim build, 150 lbs, wearing jeans and a dark shirt, he had dark hair over the ears.

2. Male, late teens to early 20’s, 5’6" -5'8", heavy-set, 240 lbs, wearing baggy jeans.

It is believed that the heavy-set male had a knife and was threatening to use it but that the slimmer male did the stabbing.
