************************* Shoplifting 1

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 52-year-old Gay Overland of 627 Queen Street West on the 13th of September at 10:22 a.m. on Queen Street and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that on the 12th of September around 1:30 p.m. the accused attended at Queen Street West Variety and stole a chocolate square brownie.

The accused was captured on the store surveillance camera.

She is to appear in court on the 18th of October.

************************* Shoplifting 2

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service located and arrested 40-year-old Richard Turner of 626 Albert Street West last night on Queen Street.

The accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a theft incident that took place back on June 10 when he allegedly attended at the LCBO in the Station Mall and stole a bottle of vodka.

The accused was caught on security video surveillance cameras inside the store.

At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions that he keep the peace and be of good behaviour and not attend at the Station Mall.

As a result he was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.

************************* Shoplifting 3

Last night around 8:31 p.m., three youths entered the Market Mall Beer Store on Second Line West and stole a case of Sleeman Draft beer from a front store display area.

The youths, two males and one female, fled on foot behind the store towards Creekside Lane.

Two youths were dressed in black and one in grey.

************************* Theft-related incidents

- A break and enter was reported to a residence in the 500 block of Bush Street around 4:40 p.m. yesterday. Two laptops and jewellery were reported stolen. A male suspect was seen leaving the area of the residence with two shopping bags.

- A 12-inch aluminum boat was stole from a property on Prince Lake Road. The boat has a white dragon on the side.

- A computer central processing unit was stolen from a lobby waiting room area of a business in the 100 block of March Street.

- A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Northern Avenue. ************************ Mischief reports

- Lattice was damaged on the back deck area at the Habitat for Humanity on Balfour Street.

- Vehicle windows were smashed on East Street and at a business in the 500 block of Great Northern Road.
