A Chinese company is looking at locating a manufacturing operation in Sault Ste. Marie, says Economic Development Corporation CEO Bruce Strapp.

Strapp (shown) is among the delegates from Sault Ste. Marie just returned from a trade mission in China.

Strapp says the time spent in China was very fruitful.

He says the manufacturer is a good fit for the Sault Ste. Marie economy.

"They're looking at a mill that will be about 120,000 square feet and employ about 100 people," Strapp said at a media conference in City Hall today.

He said representatives of the company have already e-mailed him and some may be in the Sault to look around as soon as the end of May.
