One of four winning Maxmillions tickets worth $1 million was sold in Sault Ste. Marie, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) stated in a press release issued this morning. 

A record $117 million in top prizes are also available to be won in a single draw – a first in Lotto Max history. 

The jackpot for the Tuesday June 8, 2021 LOTTO MAX draw remains at $70 million with an estimated 47 Maxmillion to be drawn, making it the largest top prize pool in Canadian lottery history.

For the first time in LOTTO MAX history, a record $117 million in top prizing is available be won in a single draw!  

For the Tuesday June 8, 2021 LOTTO MAX draw, the jackpot remains a whopping $70 million with an estimated 47 MAXMILLIONS to be drawn.  

This makes it the biggest top prize pool in Canadian lottery history!  

While the top prize was not won last night (June 4, 2021), there are many Ontario ticket holders waking up to life-changing wins this morning!  

Four MAXMILLIONS prizes worth $1 million each were won by tickets sold in: 

  • Sault Ste. Marie
 
  • North York
 
  • Windsor
 
  • Mississauga
  

A ticket for the LOTTO MAX second prize worth $200,900.90 was also sold in Mississauga.  

And there was a winning ENCORE prize worth $100,000 won on a ticket sold in Kitchener.  

OLG reminds players that they can check their tickets from home on OLG.ca, by using the OLG Lottery App on their mobile device, signing up on OLG.ca for winning number email alerts or by calling our WIN! Line at 416-870-8946 (Toronto area) or toll free at 1-866-891-8946 (outside Toronto area).  

In accordance with government-issued lockdown measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, OLG is currently limiting the number of in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to only those that require a face-to-face interview. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail. The health and safety of our customers and employees remains our top priority and OLG looks forward to providing future updates on the availability of in-person prize claims.  

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $6 billion, including 84 jackpot wins and 630 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province.  

LOTTO MAX draws are twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays. For each $5 play, players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to fifty. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot or the MAXMILLIONS prizes.  

Again, the next LOTTO MAX jackpot is set at $70 million with an estimated 47 MAXMILLIONS being offered as well for the biggest top prize pool in Canadian lottery history. Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers or buy online at OLG.ca until 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 for the draw that evening.
