Charge laid in Autorama snowmobile theft

City Police have charged 19-year-old Allan McClelland of 39 Pineshores Road in connection with the theft of a 1996 Polaris Indy earlier this month. The machine was taken from Autorama on Black Road sometime overnight on January 12-13.

City Police have charged 19-year-old Allan McClelland of 39 Pineshores Road in connection with the theft of a 1996 Polaris Indy earlier this month.

The machine was taken from Autorama on Black Road sometime overnight on January 12-13.

McClelland is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on February 26.

In unrelated matters, police received two reports of break and enters yesterday:

- A home on Henrietta Drive was entered sometime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. yesterday. A Gateway laptop and numerous DVDs were among the articles taken.

- A residence on Hocking Avenue was entered sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. last night, with missing property including jewellery, an undisclosed quantity of cash and about 150 DVDs.
