************************* Motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles

City Police responded to a three-vehicle collision on Queen Street East yesterday morning at approximately 8:38 a.m.

All three vehicles, a 2009 Honda, a 2003 Jeep and a 2008 Chrysler were travelling westbound in the 700 block of Queen Street East.

It is alleged that the Jeep and Chrysler came to a stop behind traffic and the driver of the Honda failed to stop in time and struck the Jeep from behind, resulting in it striking the Chrysler.

The driver of the Jeep was transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda, 39-year-old Allyson Niro of 73 Louise Avenue was charged with one count of following too closely under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
