Charge laid after McAllen Street crash

NEWS RELEASE

************************* Last night just before 10:30 p.m. officers from Patrol Services attended at Central Street and McAllen Street for a motor vehicle collision which sent one person to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A car operated by a 53-year-old male was travelling eastbound on Central Street.

A pickup truck operated by a 47-year-old male was travelling northbound on McAllen Street and allegedly failed to stop for the stop sign and stuck the car.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.

Both vehicles were severely damaged.

The 47-year-old male has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with one count of disobey stop sign-fail to stop.
