SAULT STE. MARIE – For the first time in this campaign, all five candidates in the running to represent Sault Ste. Marie at Queen's Park were in one room.

It was a chance for voters to get to know each candidate that will appear on the ballot on October 6.

“What a wonderful, informal opportunity to mingle with those who matter most in this election – the people who will decide the future of the province,” Ross said.

The New Democrat stood out among the others, connecting with attendees and responding to anyone's questions about the NDP's platform.

New Democrats will put people first in five key ways:

- Creating jobs: Giving companies a tax credit for every new Ontario job they create

- Making life more affordable: Taking the HST off hydro and home heating

- Better health care: Cutting ER wait times in half and make sure our seniors are taken care of

- Green choices: Reward conservation with tax credits to retrofit your home

- Living within our means: Balance the budget, stop wasteful spending

“Next week, choose leadership you can count on to listen to you – and fight for the issues that matter to your family,” Ross said. “Vote for change that puts people first.”
