The Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority is advising the public that trial maintenance will be taking place in the Hiawatha Highlands area.

Members and volunteers of the Soo Nordic Ski Club will be undertaking remediation/repairs to sections of the Red Pine Trails. The trail maintenance is necessary due to erosion and flooding, and in anticipation of the coming ski season.

Beginning Oct. 25 until December 2019, all trail users should use caution and avoid sections where ‘Trail Closed’ signs are posted due to use of heavy machinery and maintenance vehicles.
