Cause of Great Northern Road area power outage unknown

Power has been restored to 394 customers in the areas of Willow Avenue, Kent Avenue, Rush Avenue, Malabar Drive, Eagle Drive, Willoughby Street, Champlain Street, Blake Avenue, McNabb Street by Great Northern Road affected by a power outage, says Sault Ste. Marie PUC.

Power to that area was knocked out on Sunday, June 24 at 1:42 p.m. and restored at 3:15 p.m.

Line crews continue to investigate the cause of the outage.

"If you have any information leading to the cause of the outage or other concerns please call the PUC emergency number at 759-6555," says Sault Ste. Marie PUC.
