John Caputo and Gary Trembinski will return in their current roles for another year

HURON-SUPERIOR CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) will have familiar names at the helm for the next year. John Caputo was retained as Chair of the Board of Trustees by acclamation.

“I was honoured that the trustees showed their confidence in my leadership to represent them as their Chair. I am going to work hard to ensure the initiatives that we started last year move forward. We visited the schools outside of Sault Ste. Marie and I hope to continue with this tradition,” said Caputo.

Gary Trembinski was elected as Vice-Chair for another term.

“I appreciate the confidence my peers have in me and promise to continue to work hard in this role,” said Trembinski.

“The Board is indeed blessed to have John and Gary in their respective leadership positions,” said Director of Education, Rose Burton Spohn. “Their support of, and dedication to, Catholic education has been outstanding, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with them.”

The meeting was the first for Bill Murphy, who was appointed last week, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of trustee Laurie Aceti in November.
