During their only appearance together during their respective fall concert tours, artists George Canyon and Terri Clark offered up a big juicy dose of Canadian country music for about 1,800 fans at the Essar Centre last evening.

Canyon, who recently won the Canadian Country Music Association award for producer of the year with co-producer Richard Marx, easily charmed the crowd with his resonating baritone, quick wit and superhero good looks.

During his 90-minute set, the proud Nova Scotia native played favourites, including Drinkin' Thinkin', Good Day To Ride, Betty's Buns, Drunk Out Tonight, Just Like You and his versions of Johnny Cash's Walk the Line and Ring of Fire.

Equally as charming, but much, much prettier, Clark rolled through her 90-minute set with a bounce in her boots and a huge grin under her hat.

With eight studio albums and ten U.S. country Top 10 charting singles under her belt buckle, Clark's set list included Wrecking Ball, Girls Lie Too, Gypsy Boots, If You Want Fire, You're Easy on the Eyes, Northern Girl and a cover of Linda Ronstadt's Poor Poor Pitiful Me.

The next concert scheduled at the Essar Centre is legendary Canadian singer/ songwriter Gordon Lightfoot on December 5, 2011.
