Candidate files to run for City Council in Ward 5

Ward 5 Coun. Corey Gardi showed up at the Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre Friday, carrying two pieces of identification, 25 endorsement signatures, $100 and a nomination form for his re-election bid.

Gardi is now the fourth candidate for a City Council seat in the Oct. 24 municipal election.

Deadline to file a nomination is Friday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
