Terrorism charges have been laid against three males in Ontario: two in Ottawa and one in London, police announced today.

Raids were conducted in two separate locations in Ottawa yesterday morning, during which Misbahuddin Ahmed and Hiva Alizadeh were arrested.

Khuram Sher, a former contestant on Canadian Idol, was arrested in London this morning.

The suspects were allegedly part of a domestic terrorism plot the the RCMP had been tracking over the last two years - a probe dubbed "Operation Samosa."

Charges against the three include committing an act for terrorism purposes, providing or making available property for terrorism purposes and conspiracy to commit a terrorist offense.
