Canada scores record medal haul

Canada is now guaranteed 25 medals in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Two more gold medal performances today bring the total gold for Canadian athletes to 12, and a total so far of 23 medals.

Two more gold medal performances today bring the total gold for Canadian athletes to 12, and a total so far of 23 medals.

Jasey Jay Anderson of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec took gold in parallel giant slalom snowboarding.

Denny Morrison of Fort St. John, British Columbia; Lucas Makowsky of Regina and Mathieu Giroux of Montreal defeated the United States to capture top spot in the men's long track speedskating event.

Canada brought home 24 medals from the Turin Olympics four years ago.
