************************* The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is seeking the public's assistance regarding a theft of a tombstone that occurred sometime between the end of last summer and the 18th of June.

A citizen reported to the police that his parent's tombstone had been stolen from the Greenwood Cemetery on Fourth Line East.

The tombstone is described as black granite, approximately 240 pounds, 30.5 inches long, 20.5 inches high and six inches thick.

The names of his parents John and Margery Selkirk are engraved on the stone.

If anyone knows who is responsible for this theft or has any information regarding it, please contact city police at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
