A group of distinguished international scientists has concluded that cell phones could contribute to cancer in users of the popular device.
The observation was made after the members of a World Health Organization (WHO) panel studied related scientific literature.
Until now, WHO's position has been that cell phones pose no health risks.
The scientists say further research is needed to more fully assess any links between cell phones and cancer.
