Store Expansion and opening of new Studio Learning Centre

James Wishon, owner of Camera Craft, is pleased to announce the expansion of the Queen Street East store to include a multi-use space dedicated to gallery space, a learning centre offering training seminars and studio space.

“When people come into our store from all across Canada and the U.S. we hear the same comment, that the independent camera store in their hometown is no longer in business,” says owner James Wishon. “Big box stores forced many independent retailers out of business, the problem is big box can’t provide the service we can. We are happy to expand upon the service that we have already been providing the Sault Ste Marie photo community by creating a space to host seminars and to have gallery space to showcase the photography of local artists.”

The first training seminars being offered are “Intro to Nikon DSLR Cameras,” “Intro to Canon DSLR Cameras,” ‘Intro to Sports Photography’ and “On-Location Lighting” and will be developed and led by photographer Kenneth Armstrong.

Kenneth works as a freelance photographer for the Canadian Press and Reuters and his images have been published in the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star and Toronto Sun, among others.

Kenneth also draws upon his past experience as an Apple Certified Pro Trainer for conducting seminars.

Camera Craft is utilizing previously occupied space in the same building at 716 Queen Street East to facilitate the expansion.
