************************* Forty-six-year-old year-old Todd Petrie of #312-138 East Street was arrested yesterday at 4:50 p.m. on East Street and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of breach of a release document and one count of engage in prohibited activity on premises under the Trespass to Property Act.

It is alleged that on the 17th of December around 3 p.m., City Police received a call to attend at the Calvary Christian Centre residential area at 138 East Street to remove the accused, a resident of the centre, from another unit.

When police arrived they instructed the accused, who appeared to be intoxicated, to return back to his unit.

Around 20 minutes later, police were called a second time to return as the accused was attempting to get into the same unit again and was causing a disturbance.

The accused was located in the hallway and arrested.

It is further alleged that when officers allowed the accused to attend back at his unit to lock it up, they observed drug paraphernalia with a small amount of cocaine, morphine and cannabis resin on a desk inside.

Officers also located stolen identification inside the unit.

At the time of the incident, the accused was on a release order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.
