************************* Traffic stop - Large quantity of drugs seized

NORTH BAY, ON – On Saturday, September 19 at approximately 1 a.m., North Bay OPP officers were conducting RIDE on Highway 17 in Commanda Township when they stopped a westbound motor vehicle.

Upon further investigation, the OPP canine officer attended the scene resulting in the arrest of the driver for the possession of a controlled substance.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 10 baby food jars containing suspected hash oil and one brick of hash for a total street value of approximately $82,000.

Jason Edward Cosby, 32 years old, of Fort Erie was charged with possession for the purpose Schedule III as per CDSA s. 5(2).

Cosby is scheduled for court in North Bay on November 16.
