Burnt and melted SUV at auto repair business (5 photos)

A melted and burnt SUV remained after a fire in the parking area of auto repair business Gail Joy Investments on Wilson Street early this morning.

At around 1:15 a.m. Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to the scene and put out the fire.

Witnesses said they heard a loud “explosion sound” two blocks away before arriving on scene.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Services and PUC Services also attended the scene.

Police and Fire Services were still investigating the scene at 2:15 a.m.
