First, they took away our local television.

Now, it's our local radio.

Okay, maybe not.

But some fans of Jeff McNeice's morning show on Q104 Radio are up in arms ever since the station quietly dropped its popular 7:50 a.m. Birthday Club in mid-November.

Britney Morin has launched a Facebook campaign to convince Rogers Radio to bring back the birthdays.

"We are a small town who takes pride in the local content on our radio station," Morin's FB page says.

"It’s nice to hear it’s your neighbour's birthday in the morning and it’s nice to hear who’s thinking of you if it’s your big day.... If we can get enough of the loyal Q104 listeners together maybe we can show them just how much we miss the Birthday Club and how much we miss the personal touch that used to come through the radio waves at 7:50 a.m."

"My grandma wished every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren a happy birthday from the Mills Mob on Q104 and now you took it away," writes Benny Nelles.
