NEWS RELEASE
THE LUNG ASSOCIATION ONTARIO
*************************
The Lung Association is recruiting for a unique volunteer position - one that boosts employee morale, brightens the workplace and shows your company’s commitment to helping Ontarians breathe. It’s called a Workplace Champion. Workplace Champions support one of The Lung Associations largest fundraisers that is now in its 20th year - Breath of Spring.

What: Breath of Spring, formerly called Tulip Day, is an Ontario-wide fundraiser that engages a network of Workplace Champions to help coordinate the sale of tulips (low fragrance for those with allergies and sensitivities) and crispy wave ferns (best suited to purifying the air within enclosed spaces) to workplaces in support of those living with lung disease.

Who: The Lung Association Ontario.

Why: Breath of Spring supports the one in five Canadians living with lung disease by funding vital research, by giving those who struggle to breathe and their families the support and resources they need, and by fighting for policies that protect our air. It gives Ontarians the chance to show their support for someone they love who has been affected by lung disease.

When: Currently recruiting Workplace Champions. Tulips and crispy wave ferns will brighten workplaces on March 7.

Where: Sault Ste. Marie and Elliot Lake, Ont.
