INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE ADMINISTRATION

************************ SAULT STE. MARIE, ON & MI - (March 10) - The International Bridge Administration today announced that one-way traffic crossings of the International Bridge at Sault Ste. Marie totaled 113,342 for the month of February, 2009.

This represents a decrease of 15.5 per cent as compared to February, 2008.

Traffic for the calendar year 2009 has totaled 231,289 vehicles; this represents a decrease of 14.8 percent as compared to 2008.

Since the bridge opened in 1962, over 86.7 million vehicles have crossed the structure.
