************************* The International Bridge Administration today announced that one-way traffic crossings of the International Bridge at Sault Ste. Marie totaled 175,111 for the month of August, 2009.

This represents a decrease of 14.9 percent as compared to August, 2008.

Traffic for calendar year 2009 has totaled 1,101,394 vehicles; this represents a decrease of 17.2 percent as compared to 2008.

Since the bridge opened in 1962, over 87.6 million vehicles have crossed the structure.
