Break-in at the VON

NEWS RELEASE

********************* City Police received a number of reports of break and enters in the last 24 hour period:

1) The Victorian Order of Nurses office located at 550 Queen Street West unit 203 was entered over the weekend. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken.

2) Sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. on the 7th of July thieves broke into a garage in the 200 block of Doncaster Road and stole a Craftsman tool set.

3) A home on Grace Street was broken into yesterday afternoon and a small amount of change and jewellery were taken.

4) Sometime between the 9th of July at 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. on the 10th of July thieves entered a home in the 400 block of Douglas Street and stole an undisclosed amount of money, alcohol, a CD player and a radio.

5) Last evening a homeowner in the 100 block of Parker Avenue reported that their residence had been entered. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken.

6) Just before 3 a.m. this morning City Police attended in the 400 block of Morin Street for a break and enter. Nothing appeared to have been taken and it appeared that the thieves had been scared off.
