Body of missing boater recovered from St. Marys River

Sault Michigan's Soo Evening News is reporting that search and rescue teams pulled the body of a missing angler out of the St. Mary's River early today.

According to the Soo Evening News, the lone fisherman set out on Monday evening and was reported missing when he failed to return.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department, the U.S. Coast Guard, Sault Police Department and Sault Tribal Police were called to aid in search and recovery efforts.

The cause of death has yet to be determined.
