Blind River man wins Canadian Cancer Society lottery

A resident of Blind River is the lucky winner in the Canadian Cancer Society Lottery in Ontario.

Congratulations to John Richer, who has won a grand prize of $100,000.

"Congratulations to our winner and thank you to everyone who bought a ticket in this year’s lottery,” says Rodney Buzdygan, Algoma & district manager. “Your support means more funding for promising cancer research aimed at better prevention, earlier detection, improved treatments and enhanced quality of life. Since 2001, the Canadian Cancer Society Lottery has raised more than $32 million for cancer research.
