********************* Flakeboard to purchase Weyerhaeuser particleboard and MDF mills

Markham, CANADA – Flakeboard Co. Ltd. has entered into negotiations to purchase Weyerhaeuser's North American composite panel business.

This acquisition represents particleboard and MDF capacity of 1.1 billion square feet, complementing the existing 400 million square feet currently manufactured within Flakeboard's operations.

The targeted mills are located in Albany, Oregon; Eugene, Oregon; Malvern, Arkansas; Simsboro, Louisiana and Bennettsville, South Carolina.

Flakeboard has been dedicated to the composite panel industry since 1960 and, with this purchase, will remain committed to maintaining and growing the relationships and customer base currently serviced through Weyerhaeuser's mill direct sales and independent distribution centers.
