$20 million. 103 apartments

Developer Steve Perzia is proposing a $20-million, 103-unit residential development at 110 Pim Street behind the Algonquin Hotel.

A description of the project to be presented to Sault Ste. Marie City Council next week indicates it will consist of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with amenities including a sauna, party room, exercise room, meeting room and television room.

"The project will also incorporate extensive landscaping along the street frontages," says senior city planner Stephen Turco.

Perzia's One Ten Pim Inc. is seeking the following municipal tax rebates:

  • 100 per cent in year one
  • 75 per cent in year two
  • 50 per cent in year three
  • 25 per cent in year four

City councillors will be asked Monday to approve the rebates.

The meeting will be livestreamed on SooToday starting at 4:30 p.m.
