************************* Female arrested for drug possession

Eighteen-year-old Chelsea Ambeault of 627 Wellington Street West was arrested on the 11th of May at 2:10 p.m. on Bay Street and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance.

It is alleged that on the 11th of May at around 2:10 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Street Team were investigating a complaint of persons consuming drugs in a vehicle parked in a parking lot on Bay Street.

Officers checked the vehicle and persons inside and at the time the accused was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

She is to appear in court on the 14th of June.
