Ball-peen burglar tries to get into Fraternal Order of Eagles

************************* Attempted break-and-enter Fraternal Order of Eagles Club

Sault Ste. Marie OPP is investigating an attempted break and enter into the Fraternal Order of the Eagles club house on Trout Lake Road.

Thieves attempted to break into the club sometime between 11 p.m. and 10 a.m. overnight Monday by breaking a door window with a ball-peen hammer.

Successful entry was not gained.

The club has been subjected to a number of break and enters over the years.

************************* Failure to carry proof of insurance results in charges

OPP traffic enforcement officers continually stop motorists who have failed to put their current insurance card in their vehicles.

Drivers must be able to show current proof of insurance or face a fine of $65. under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

Driving with no insurance usually results in fines in excess of $1,000.
